Classes run Saturdays 9.15 - 12.00
SING
We sing our favourite musicals, pop and disney songs. We focus on vocal games, warm-up exercises and group singing. There is an emphasis on articulation to try and encourage the children to sing out confidently and clearly. We aim to enhance the children's listening skills, whilst developing their speech and social skills.
SINGING 9.15 - 10.00 Ages 5-7
DANCE
We teach the basic principles of dance through a fun and creative class. The children are encouraged to use their imaginations, storytelling, colours and props to aid their dance. They often take on different characters and animals to encourage creative learning, developing muscle strength and engaging with their bodies. We follow the RAD Ballet Syllabus.
Ballet 9.15 - 10.00 ages 3-5
Ballet 10.00 - 11.00 ages 5-7
Street Dance 10.00 - 11.00 ages 5-7
ACT
Children play drama games, create stories, improvisations, character work, learn poems and excepts from plays. A key focus is on improving confidence, concentration and speech. Class often begins with 'News Time' which encourages the children to speak confidently to the group and share something about themselves. This teaches the children to listen, praise and learn about each other. The children work towards end of term performances.
